Norwalk, Conn.-based Neurosurgical Associates of Southwestern CT is now known as Elite Brain and Spine of Connecticut, Fairfield County Business Journal reported Aug. 31.
The rebrand comes as the group is in the process of opening a new location in Danbury, signaling "a very appropriate time to publicize our new branding and name change," according to Shawn Finnegan, chief neurosurgical physician assistant of Western Connecticut Health Network and president of the practice.
Mr. Finnegan said the name change and rebrand reflect the evolution of the practice toward more modernized neurosurgical approaches, such as through its focus on specialized patient care and minimally invasive procedures.
The now-Elite Brain and Spine of Connecticut has treated more than 50,000 patients for various neurological conditions since its inception in 1985.
