Beacon Orthopaedics' health system affiliation adds 10 physicians, 20 locations

Practice Management

Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, with locations in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky has affiliated with Cincinnati-based TriHealth as it marks 25 years in business, Cincinnati Business Courier reported Oct. 19.

The partnership, which allows both organizations to maintain independence, combined the groups' ambulatory locations and allowed TriHealth-employed orthopedic physicians to join Beacon.

Ten physicians and 20 office locations have been added to Beacon's roster. It now has 62 physicians and 25 locations, according to the report.

TriHealth and Beacon's combined orthopedic ASCs now include Summit Woods Surgery Center in Sharonville, Ohio, and Cincinnati-based Beacon West Surgery Center and TriHealth Hand Surgery Center.

The providers also plan to build an ASC on TriHealth's Evendale campus, where Beacon will run the day-to-day operations.

"If you look at the three mainstays of what our practice is built on, it's quality and access and value," Peter Cha, MD, president of Beacon, told the Courier. "I think this partnership touches every single piece."
