1. Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Akron earned Healthgrades' Spine Surgery Excellence Award.
2. The orthopedic group announced plans to open a $100 million hospital in Fairlawn, Ohio, for orthopedic, reconstructive and plastic surgery. It opened in November.
3. Crystal Clinic named Daniel Ferry as president and CEO.
4. Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center has performed more than 2,000 robotic-assisted joint replacements with Stryker's Mako system.
5. Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center named Terrence Deis its new chief administration officer.
