A merger between two orthopedic platforms and three more updates from management service organizations in the last month:
1. United Musculoskeletal Partners, led by Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics CEO Alex Bateman, merged with Dallas-based management services organization Novum Orthopedic Partners.
2. OrthoAlliance, a management services organization, added two Ohio practices: Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center and Clintonville Foot & Ankle Group, both in Columbus.
3. U.S. Orthopaedic Partners, a private equity-backed management services organization, has acquired Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists of Mississippi, its fifth practice in the state and ninth total.
4. Aligned Orthopedic Partners inked its third partnership of 2022 with Virginia Beach, Va.-based Jordan-Young Institute, the management services organization said Aug. 18.
