Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Michael Millis of Boston Children's Hospital

Michael Millis, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Boston Children's Hospital and a professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Miller's primary office is in the orthopedic center, and also practices in the Child and Young Adult Hip Preservation Program and the Orthopedic Trauma Program.

Dr. Miller's recent research includes work on obesity's effect on the development of post-peri-acetabular osteotomy as well as the work Periacetabular osteotomy restores the typically excessive range of motion in dysplastic hips with a spherical head.

 

Dr. Miller received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed an internship with University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Miller is both residency trained in combined orthopedic surgery from Harvard Medical School as well as fellowship trained in reconstructive lower extremity surgery through AO Fellowship/Professor Heinz Wagner in Altdorf, Germany.
