TRIA Orthopaedic Center names Dr. Edward Craig CEO: 5 things to know

Bloomington, Minn.-based TRIA Orthopaedic Center named Edward V. Craig, MD, MPH, CEO, effective June 1.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Craig comes to TRIA from Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, where he served as an attending surgeon.

 

2. He is currently a professor of orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

 

3. He focuses on shoulder replacement, rotator cuff shoulder injuries, arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. He also designed an anatomic and reverse total replacement system for patients with arthritis in their shoulder.

 

4. Dr. Craig completed two fellowships — one in shoulder and elbow surgery and the other in hand surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in New York. He has also completed a master's degree in public health at Columbia University.

 

5. Dr. Craig will succeed Marc Swiontkowski, MD, who will continue to work at TRIA as a clinician and remain on the TRIA Management Board.
