Dr. Brian Cohen earned $3M with Adena: 4 key notes

Brian Cohen, MD, orthopedic surgeon at Adena Health System Center in Chilicothe, Ohio, is one of the highest-paid physicians at a U.S. nonprofit or public hospital, according to Dispatch.com.

Here are six things to know, according to the report:

 

1. Dr. Cohen received $3.08 million in 2013.

 

2. Ten percent of orthopedic surgeons made $955,000 or more, according to the report.

 

3. Dr. Cohen told Dispatch that part of his high income is derived from part ownership of a surgical center.

 

4. Between 2002 and 2013, Dr. Cohen's total pay received is over $23 million, according to the report.
