Nancy Cummings, MD, is a sports medicine and orthopedic surgeon with the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
Dr. Cummings' interests include etiology of non-contact ACL injuries, ethics in sports medicine and rural orthopedic care. Currently, Dr. Cummings is on the critical issues committee of the American Orthopaedic Association, and she is also a member of the AOA Institute of Orthopaedic Medicine Task Force on Industry Relations.
Dr. Cummings received her medical degree from Columbia University in New York City and completed her general surgery internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Cummings completed her research fellowship in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Cummings also completed a Combined Orthopaedic Surgical Residency with Harvard University.
