Mount Sinai named official medical services provider for US Open: 3 things to know

Orthopedic surgeons at New York-based Mount Sinai will be providing care for athletes at the U.S. Open this year.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. Mount Sinai is serving as the official medical services provider for the tennis tournament for the third year in a row.

 

2. The orthopedic physicians will be joined by radiologists using portable ultrasound devices.

 

3. Alexis Chiang Colvin, MD, will continue her role at the tournament as CMO of the United States Tennis Association. She is an associate professor of sports medicine in the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and team physician for the US Fed Cup Team.
