Skiff Medical Center, located in Newton, partnered with the Iowa Orthopaedic Center, one of Iowa's top orthopedic specialty groups, according to Newton Daily News.
Here are four facts to know:
1. Three physicians from Iowa Orthopaedic Center will administer services in Newton.
2. Michael Gainer, MD, specializes in treating upper extremity conditions of the hand. Thomas Ambrose, MD, specializes in fracture care and total joint replacement. Christopher Vincent, MD, focuses on sports medicine as well as knee and shoulder arthroscopy.
3. The physicians will begin seeing patients in the Skiff Orthopedic Clinic on Sept. 1.
4. Skiff Medical Center hopes to recruit a full-time orthopedist in the future.
