Jonathan Hersch, MD, is the first Florida physician trained to perform the biologic augmentation procedure, according to a Sun Sentinel report.
Here are four notes:
1. Biologic augmentation is a new rotator cuff repair procedure.
2. Dr. Hersch practices with Tenet Florida Physician Services and is on staff at West Boca Medical Center, both located in Boca Raton, Fla.
3. He focuses on shoulder, knee and elbow surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopy and fracture care.
4. The new procedure was developed by Rotation Medical. The long-term effects of the procedure are still being collected.
