Joshua Metzl, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in foot and ankle surgery as well as sports medicine. He is the assistant team physician for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Dr. Metzl joined Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver in 2012.
His practice is focused on forefoot disorders, ankle instability, sports injuries, fractures, ankle replacement and posterior tibial disorders. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Metzl presents research at national meetings and is working on projects related to minimally invasive Achilles tendon repair, metatarsal fractures in athletes and ankle arthroscopy.
Dr. Metzl earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. His additional training includes a fellowship at OrthoCarolina in foot and ankle surgery.
