Trevor R. Born, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with Sarasota (Fla.) Orthopedic Associates.
Dr. Born earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
Dr. Born previously served as team physician for Minnesota high school football teams, Brown University varsity teams as well as the Providence Bruins AHL hockey team. Recently, Dr. Born provided physician coverage for the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship during the regional rounds in Providence.
Dr. Born has served as an associate master instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
