Jeffrey Nepple, MD, is the director of the Washington University and St. Louis Children's Young Athlete Center. Dr. Nepple is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is a team physician for the United States Olympic Ski Team and assists with team physician coverage for the St. Louis Blues.
Dr. Nepple is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. He focuses on adolescent and young adult hip disorders, including femoroacetabular impingement, labral tears and slipped capital femoral epiphysis. His research interests center on young adult hip disorders and pediatric sports medicine.
Dr. Nepple earned his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Steadman Clinic/Steadman-Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colo., as well as a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Washington University School of Medicine.
