Moby Parsons, MD, recently earned his recertification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Parsons, an orthopedic joint replacement surgeon at Seacoast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in New Hampshire scored in the 99th percentile on the exam, according to fosters.com.
Orthopedic surgeons must earn there recertification every seven to 10 years. To do that they complete 120 hours of educational classes, partake in a peer review process and take a written and oral exam.
Parsons specializes in the treatment of shoulder and elbow injuries and the treatment of arthritis conditions in the extremities. He was awarded the Charles Neer Award for "excellence in clinical research in shoulder and elbow surgery," in the past. He has been featured in several publications and presentations.
