Christopher C. Dodson, MD, practices with Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute and is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health. He is head team physician of the Philadelphia 76ers, an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers as well as an orthopedic consultant for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dr. Dodson's clinical interests center on shoulder instability, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff tears and elbow injuries in overhead athletes. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He served as a reviewer for Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and American Journal of Sports Medicine. He is also on the editorial board of the Hospital for Special Surgery Journal.
After earning his medical degree at Providence, R.I.-based Brown University, Dr. Dodson completed his orthopedic residency and sports medicine and shoulder service fellowship at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
