The Marina del Rey, Calif.-based DISC Sports & Spine Center has added two physicians to its medical team.
Here's what you need to know:
1. Grant D. Shifflett, MD, is a spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and reconstructive surgical techniques. His research has been presented throughout the United States and in six different countries.
2. Dr. Shifflett earned his medical degree at the Los Angeles-based University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine. He went on to complete a residency at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery and a spine fellowship at Chicago-based Rush University.
3. Alexis E. Dixon, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of ankle and foot conditions, including arthritis, tendinitis and flatfoot deformity.
4. Dr. Dixon earned her medical degree at the Los Angeles-based University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine, where she also did her residency. She went on to complete an orthopedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Dallas-based Baylor University Medical Center.
