Philip Davidson, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Davidson Orthopedics, a practice he founded in Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah. He specializes in sports medicine, with an emphasis on cartilage restoration and joint resurfacing of the knee and shoulder.
Dr. Davidson is on staff at Park City Medical Center, Salt Lake Regional Medical Center and Salt Lake City-based LDS Hospital, all of which are located in Utah. He is an official consultant of the NFL and the MLB leagues. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Davidson has served on an FDA panel that evaluated the safety of osteoarthritis treatments.
He earned his medical degree at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. He went on to complete an orthopedic residency at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine and a sports medicine fellowship at Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
