Simon Lee, MD, Johnny Lin, MD, and Kamran Hamid, MD, ankle surgeons from Chicago's Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, along with a group of orthopedic residents, physician assistants and medical students are going to Chicago's west side to provide shoes and medical care to the homeless on Nov. 30, 2016.
Here's what you need to know.
1. The event is part of Soles 4 Souls, a national not-for-profit organization that distributes shoes around the world.
2. Dr. Lee began a Chicago chapter of the program in 2007, and organizes the annual event.
3. The physicians will provide the homeless with medical screenings.
