Columbus-based the Ohio State University College of Medicine tapped Christophe Iobst, MD, to lead its new Center for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction.
Here's what you need to know.
1. The center will provide patients a range of surgical and nonsurgical treatments for congenital, developmental and traumatic limb deformity and limb-length discrepancies.
2. Dr. Iobst began his career after earning his medical degree from Atlanta's Emory University. He completed a residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston before completing a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Harvard University in Boston.
3. The center will have research and educational aspects.
4. Dr. Iobst will serve as a clinical associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Ohio State.
