James H. Beaty, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Campbell Clinic, an orthopedic practice with five offices throughout Mississippi and Tennessee. His clinical interests include pediatric orthopedics.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Beaty serves as a professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics and does consultant reviews for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and the Journal of Trauma.
In the past, he has served as the president of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Beaty earned his medical degree at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He went on to complete residency training at University of Tennessee Health Science Center's Campbell Clinic and a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at A.I. DuPont Institute in Wilmington, Del.
