Steve Schexnayder, MD, was named to the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation Pediatric Task Force.
Here are five things to know:
1. The task force reviews the latest developments in pediatric resuscitation guidelines used throughout the world.
2. Made up of 17 pediatric resuscitation experts from across the world, the task force includes four representatives from the U.S.
3. Dr. Schexnayder is professor of pediatrics and internal medicine at Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and also practices at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
4. He serves as section chief of critical care medicine and chair in pediatric critical care medicine.
5. Dr. Schexnayder said, "I am honored to be part of a process that helps ensure that health professionals across the world have access to the latest information and highest standards of care, which translates to better care for patients."
