Orthopedic surgeon Robert Singer, DO, has joined Huntingdon, Pa.-based J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, according to The Sentinel.
Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Singer received subspecialty training in pediatric orthopedics, spine, hand, total joint reconstruction, orthopedic trauma, foot and ankle and sports medicine.
2. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
3. Dr. Singer previously practiced at Altoona, Pa.-based Blair Orthopedic Associates. He remains on staff at Altoona-based Advanced Center of Surgery.
4. He was instructor of orthopedic at Loretto, Pa.-based St. Francis University between 2003 and 2013 and has served as clinical preceptor for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2003.
5. Much of Dr. Singer's research focuses on treatment for knee osteoarthritis, adhesive capsulitis in the shoulder and gout.
