Kellen K. Choi, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at Sports Med-Wheaton (Ill.) Orthopaedics.
Dr. Choi performs arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee and other joints. He utilizes minimally invasive surgery techniques to repair complex rotator cuff tears, labral tears, ACL ruptures and meniscal injuries in addition to providing joint reconstruction, fracture management and non-operative spine treatment.
Dr. Choi previously served as assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and associate clinical instructor at Boston-based Tufts University Medical School.
A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Dr. Choi graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago before completing his general surgical internship and residency at Chicago-based McGaw-Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He then underwent sports medicine fellowship training at Boston-based New England Baptist Hospital.
