Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Alexis Colvin of Mount Sinai Hospital

Alexis Colvin, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Mount Sinai Hospital. She also serves as a sports medicine associate professor at the hospital.

During her career, Dr. Colvin has provided medical care to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, as well as athletes at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, she serves as team physician for the U.S. Fed Cup team and at the U.S. Open and U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

 

Dr. Colvin specializes in knee, shoulder and hip disorder treatment. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and International Society for Sports Hip Arthroscopy.

 

After earning her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, Dr. Colvin completed her residency at the New York City-based Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Colvin completed fellowship training from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
