James Caillouette, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and chairman at the Newport Orthopedic Institute in Newport Beach, Calif.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Caillouette performs more than 500 joint replacements annually as well around 120 knee arthroscopies. He served on the board of managers of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and is a past president of the California Orthopedic Association.
He is a founder and currently serves as chief strategy officer at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, Calif., the highest volume orthopedic hospital in the state. HOI performs more hip and knee replacements than any hospital in the state.Dr. Caillouette is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Orange County Medical Association and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
After earning his medical degree at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, Dr. Caillouette completed his residency at UC Irvine Medical Center. He is also fellowship trained from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
