Mark Bowen, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem.
Dr. Bowen also works at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and River North Same Day Surgical Center in Chicago. He is an associate professor of clinical orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University's Feinberg School
of Medicine as well as an instructor for the American Academy of Orthopaedic surgeons.
With expertise in ACL tears, rotator cuff tears and meniscus tears, Dr. Bowen formerly served as team physician for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, New York Giants and the Big Ten Conference. He is now a
team physician for the Chicago Bears.
When he's away from work, Dr. Bowen enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, travel and photography.
Dr. Bowen attended Williams College and received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College before completing an orthopaedic surgery residency at the New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
He also completed a sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
