Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Richard Angelo of Joint Life Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

Richard Angelo, MD, PhD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Kirkland, Wash.-based Joint Life Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

With 30 years of experience, Dr. Angelo specializes in minimally-invasive knee, shoulder and arthroscopic surgery. The International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, Seattle Met Magazine, and Castle-Connolly have

all named him a "Top Doc."

 

Dr. Angelo previously served as chief of surgery at Kirkland, Wash.-based Evergreen Hospital and clinical professor in the department of orthopedics at the University of Washington Medical School in Seattle. He is also

past president of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

 

After earning a medical degree from the University of Washington, Dr. Angelo completed an internship in general surgery at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. He underwent residency training at the University of

Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City and completed fellowships at both the Ontario, Canada-based University of Western Ontario and the Columbus, Ga.-based Hughston Clinic.
