Jay Lieberman, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine of USC.
Dr. Lieberman serves as chair of the orthopedic surgery department at Los Angeles-based Keck School of Medicine of USC. He also serves as director of the Institute of Orthopaedics at Keck Medicine of USC and president of USC Care in Los Angeles.
Dr. Lieberman is past president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and a member of the Hip Society, Knee Society and International Hip Society.
The author of more than 250 manuscripts, book chapters, reviews and abstracts, Dr. Lieberman co-edited the textbook Surgery of the Hip and was an editor of the AAOS Comprehensive Orthopaedic Review. His research includes the influence of spirituality on the results of total joint replacement.
Dr. Lieberman received his medical degree from Albany (N.Y.) Medical College of Union University and completed a residency at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center Hospital. He also underwent fellowship training at the New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
