Victor Romano, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Oak Park, Ill.-based Romano Orthopaedic Center.
With over 25 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Romano specializes in sports medicine for athletes of all ages. He has expertise in arthritis care, bone and joint health and trauma and fracture treatment.
Dr. Romano's accomplishments include authoring a book called Finding The Source: Maximizing Your Results – With and Without Orthopaedic Surgery. The 170-page book details Dr. Romano's diagnosis and treatment techniques.
Dr. Romano volunteers as a team physician for local high school and collegiate sports teams. In 2010, he treated earthquake victims at St. Damien's Children's Hospital in Tabarre, Haiti.
Dr. Romano earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill. He was a resident and research fellow at Maywood-based Loyola University Medical Center, and specialized in sports medicine at University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Romano was also a traveling resident for South Bend (Ind.) Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic.
