Paul Dale, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists at Alomere Health in Alexandria, Minn., performed the 5,000th procedure at the Joint Replacement Center.
Here are four things to know.
1. The JRC was created to shorten hospital stays and improve the quality of patient care. The center averages over 600 joint replacements per year.
2. Eight patients JRC patients underwent joint replacement surgery the day of the 5,000 procedure milestone and completed the Joint Camp program, a patient education program across the continuum of care.
3. Dr. Dale specializes in adult joint reconstructive care and serves as the orthopedic surgery director at Alomere Health.
4. Dr. Dale was previously an instructor in minimally invasive hip replacement surgery for hip replacement and a clinical investigator for the Genesis II mobile bearing knee system.
