Glenn Gaston, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina Hand Center.
Dr. Gaston and Bryan Loeffler, MD, lead the OrthoCarolina Reconstructive Center for Lost Limbs, a multidisciplinary clinic intended to help upper extremity amputees. The two physicians recently appeared on the TODAY show.
Charlotte Magazine has named Dr. Gaston a Top Doctor for 10 consecutive years and awarded him a Top Achievement recognition in 2015. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Society for Surgery of the Hand also recognized Dr. Gaston.
Dr. Gaston is the author of numerous articles and book chapters. His professional memberships include the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Pediatric Hand Study Group and American Association for Hand Surgery.
He serves as a hand consultant for Hendrick Motor Sports, Stewart-Haas Racing and the Carolina Panthers.
After Dr. Gaston earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis, he completed both an internship and residency at Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Loeffler continued his professional training with a fellowship at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis.
