Alan Blank, MD, and Thomas Lotus, DC, joined Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Blank treats both malignant and benign tumors and specializes in sarcoma surgery, metastatic bone disease and limb salvage involving complex joint reconstruction. He has a special interest in treating bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
2. With Dr. Blank's addition, MOR now has Chicago's largest orthopedic oncology team.
3. Dr. Lotus is a board-certified chiropractic orthopedist who sits on the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists' board of directors. He is fully credentialed in McKenzie Therapy, a non-surgical treatment for reducing pain.
4. U.S. News & World Report ranks Rush's orthopedic program as the fifth in the nation. It is the highest ranked orthopedic program in Illinois and Indiana.
