Claudette M. Lajam, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and professor at New York City-based NYU Langone Medical Center.
Dr. Lajam is the Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society's immediate past president. In April, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons named her advocacy resources committee chairman.
Dr. Lajam delivers local and national presentations and has published works on topics including healthcare disparities, ethics, knee replacement, hip arthroscopy and sports surgery.
CBS This Morning, ABC News and Al-Jazeera English are among the television news shows that have featured Dr. Lajam. She appeared in O Magazine, Vogue and The New York Times and hosted The Orthopedic Show on SIRIUS/XM.
After earning a degree from New York City-based Cornell University Weill Medical College, Dr. Lajam completed a residency at the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic. She underwent fellowship training at the New York City-based Insall Scott Kelly Institute at Lenox Hill Hospital.
