Baltimore-based The Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center Research Director John Campbell, MD, joined the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society's board.

1. Dr. Campbell will spend his two-year term as a board member-at-large supporting global research and educational efforts.
2. Dr. Campbell served as the chairman of the AOFAS education committee. He is an associate editor of the society's publication, Foot & Ankle International.
3. After earning his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Campbell went on to complete fellowship training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.
4. The AOFAS comprises 2,200 members.
5. The Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction is part of The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at Mercy Medical Center, which was named a best national hospital by U.S. News & World Report.
