Andrew B. Dossett, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at The Carrell Clinic Orthopedic & Sports Medicine in Dallas.
A Shreveport, La., native, Dr. Dossett specializes in cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders and spine athletic injuries.
Dr. Dossett is an American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery fellow. He is also a North American Spine Society, National Football League Team Physicians and Major League Baseball Team Physicians member.
He serves as a spine consultant for the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars, as well as a consultant to several Division I athletic programs. In July, he performed spine surgery on Denver Nuggets' 2018 draft pick Michael Porter Jr.
Dr. Dossett has published many articles on lumbar spine fusions and athletic neck injuries. He has delivered lectures on athletic spine injuries across the country.
Dr. Dossett graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed a University of Texas Southwestern Medical School residency at Dallas-based Parkland Hospital and affiliated hospitals. Dr. Dossett underwent fellowship training at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
