Here, Dr. White discusses his biggest challenge with the practice and where he sees it growing in the future.

Question: What is the biggest challenge your practice is facing today? How are you overcoming it?

Dr. Rick White: The biggest challenge is dealing with the fact that physicians have less control of how they can practice medicine. We are overcoming it through education of the process, and how we respond to changing regulation.

Q: What are your top one or two goals for your practice over the next three to five years? How do you see it growing and developing?

RW: Our top goals are to continue to have a practice that is efficient and provides the latest care at the highest level. We will develop it through involvement in activities, conferences and international clinics. We are opening our minds to considering options that others may not.

Q: What advice do you have for new orthopedic or spine surgeons just entering the field?

RW: Please have a positive attitude, be a doctor first. Always look for ways to be efficient and put the patient first, and success will follow.
