Steven F. Harwin, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at The Center for Reconstructive Joint Surgery in New York City.
Dr. Harwin is also affiliated with New York City-based Mount Sinai Hospital, where he serves as chief of adult reconstruction and total joint replacement.
With expertise in minimally invasive and bloodless surgery, Dr. Harwin is director of the bloodless surgery joint replacement program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City.
Dr. Harwin is an inventor and designer of patented orthopedic devices and has more than 30 years of clinical and research experience. He also serves as a professor of orthopedics at New York City-based Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and Association of Professional Team Physician, Dr. Harwin is also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Hip Surgery.
After earning his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University – Health Science Center in Syracuse, Dr. Harwin completed his residency at New York City-based Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a travelling fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty.
