Former orthopedic surgeon, member of the U.S. House of Representatives and secretary of HHS under President Donald Trump, Tom Price, MD, will now join Georgia Governor-elect Brian Kemp's transition team, according to the Washington Examiner.
Dr. Price is expected to advise Gov.-elect Kemp on healthcare policy, as well as lend his expertise on who should join the governor's office. Before joining the Trump administration in 2017, Dr. Price spent six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives battling against "wasteful government spending," according to the report.
Dr. Price voted to repeal the ACA while in Congress.
