Tom R. Hackett, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colo.
With expertise in the treatment of elbow, shoulder and knee disorders, Dr. Hackett also specializes in arthroscopic procedures for sports medicine injuries.
Dr. Hackett is the head team physician for U.S. Snowboard Team and medical consultant for the Colorado Rockies.
A diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Hackett is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
After earning his medical degree from Omaha, Neb.-based Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. Hackett completed his residency at New England Medical Center at Tufts University in Boston. He underwent sports medicine fellowship training at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles.
