Here are three husband-wife orthopedic and neurosurgical teams who recently started new practices.
Anchorage (Alaska) Fracture & Orthopedic Clinic welcomed orthopedic surgery team Patricia Fox, MD, and Rabun Fox, MD, to the practice Sept. 16. Both physicians have completed fellowship training. Dr. Patricia Fox is a hand and upper extremity surgeon and Dr. Rabun Fox is a foot and ankle surgeon.
Leslie Vidal, MD, joined her husband Armando Vidal, MD, at Vail, Colo.-based The Steadman Clinic on Aug 1. Dr. Leslie Vidal is the first female orthopedic surgeon to practice with The Steadman Clinic. Her clinical expertise is in arthroscopic management of complex shoulder, knee and hip disorders. Dr. Armando Vidal is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine.
Kenneth Foxx, MD, and Kate Czerniecka-Foxx, MD, brought 24-hour neurosurgery care back to Mercy Fort Smith, Ark., when they began practicing at the hospital in August. The hospital was without neurosurgery care since 2016 and turned away roughly 2,200 neurological cases each year. They each completed a six-year residency in neurosurgery at the University of Rochester in Monroe County, N.Y.
