Resurgens Orthopaedics Dr. Tamara Chachashvili dies following illness

Tamara Chachashvili, MD, died Oct. 27 following a brief illness.

Dr. Chachashvili was a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who practiced with Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics since 2002.

She specialized in non-surgical spine care, spinal injections as well as electromyography and nerve conductive studies.

Dr. Chachashvili earned received her medical degree in Tbilisi, Georgia, before moving to the U.S. to further her career.

She completed a residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and a fellowship at the Non-Surgical Orthopaedic and Spine Center in Marietta, Ga.

Dr. Chachashvili was a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the North American Spine Society and AOSpine International.
