Illinois orthopedic surgeon arrested, faces sexual assault, abuse charges

Orthopedic surgeon Shaun Kink, MD, was arrested Jan. 15 as part of a sexual assault and abuse investigation involving an adult victim, according to local NBC affiliate 25 News.

The charges Dr. Kink faces include two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault involving a person with a physical disability and two counts of sexual assault using force or the threat of force.

In 2017, Dr. Kink joined McLean County Orthopedics, a nine-physician practice in Bloomington, Ill.

Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, both of Bloomington, Ill., suspended Dr. Kink's hospital privileges.
