ValueHealth on Jan. 28 appointed William Hozack, MD, of Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics, as medical director.
Dr. Hozack is the Walter Annenberg Professor of Joint Replacement Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and has more than 30 years of clinical experience.
His role at ValueHealth — a privately-held digital healthcare partner — will be to manage clinical standards, quality outcome measures, patient care pathways and bundled payments with warranty programs.
Dr. Hozack will also provide strategic guidance to ValueHealth and act as a liaison to the advisory board.
Previously he served as director of clinical research and chief of the joint replacement service at Rothman Orthopaedics, president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Arthroplasty.
