Mercy Health plans to build a medical complex that will feature a 60-bed hospital in Mason, Ohio, cincinnati.com reports.

The $156 million complex will focus on general orthopedic surgery and emergency care, the Cincinnati-based system said in a news release. There will be space to expand the campus.

The center will include an emergency department, four operating rooms and two procedure suites. A medical office building will provide access to cardiology, pulmonology, general surgery, gynecology, gastroenterology and vascular services.

The complex is expected to add 220 jobs in 2024, eventually rising to 275.

Construction is slated to begin in the third quarter of 2021 and finish in the third quarter of 2023.
