San Francisco-based digital health company Carrum Health continues to expand its Center of Excellence network for orthopedics.
Four key developments in the past six months:
1. In February, Premier Spine Care in Overland Park, Kan., a two-surgeon group, became the first dedicated ASC for spine care to join Carrum Health's Centers of Excellence network.
2. The company expanded into Nevada in January through a partnership with Crovetti Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, a four-physician group with a surgery center in Henderson.
3. At the beginning of the year, Carrum Health closed $40 million in series A funding. The company said it is using the funds to advance its artificial intelligence-powered technology and expand access to care.
4. In September, Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy Hospital joined Carrum Health's network of orthopedic Centers of Excellence, which provides patients with access to joint replacement and spinal procedures at a fixed, bundled price.
