New CEO, COO take charge at Minnesota orthopedic group

Orthopedic

The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic in Mankato, Minn., has announced two new appointments to its executive leadership team.

Suzanne Willaert, CFO of the practice since October 2019, has been appointed CEO, succeeding Andrew Meyers, who is retiring after a decade with the 31-provider group.

A native Mankato resident, Ms. Willaert began her career working as an auditor for Ernst & Young in Des Moines, Iowa, and Minneapolis before returning home to join accounting and advisory firm Eide Bailly, where she worked for 13 years. In 2013, she joined U.S. Bank, where the Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic was her customer.

Ms. Willaert's focus will be on several key areas, including patient satisfaction, human resources and physician support.

Also promoted from within was Jules Morgan, who has stepped into the newly created COO role at the practice. Ms. Morgan began working as a physical therapist assistant with the Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic in 2000 and was promoted to compliance offer in 2012.

In her new role, she will look to streamline workflow, systems and compliance requirements.

"With the addition of Julie to our management team, I will be able to devote even more time to helping our patients get the specialized and trusted care they deserve from this dedicated group of providers and medical staff," Ms. Willaert said in a Nov. 8 news release.
