United Regional Health Care Systems received approval to build a $26 million orthopedic and sports medicine center in Wichita Falls, Texas, according to the Times Record News.

The Wichita Falls City-County Hospital Board signed off on the facility Nov. 10. It will be built on the former site of Wichita Falls General Hospital, which was demolished almost 10 years ago.

Spanning 41,000 square feet, the two-story center will offer physical therapy on the lower level and provide clinical services on the upper level, according to the report.

The project is expected to break ground in January, with its opening set for January 2023.
