Question: What’s your top clinical accomplishment in 2021?

Jason Snibbe, MD. Snibbe Orthopedics (Los Angeles): My top clinical accomplishment is using robotic technology to advance the procedure of revision and complex total knee arthroplasty. Mako robotic technology is so precise and allows surgeons to have a three-dimensional understanding of the anatomy. The surgeon can balance the knee with precise adjustments to the implants. Using this technology in the revision situation preserves bone and maintains the proper alignment, and the haptic technology minimizes soft tissue trauma. Robotic surgery continues to evolve and is very exciting.

Ammar Saymeh, DPM. NJ Spine and Wellness (Freehold): As a foot and ankle specialist, my proudest clinical accomplishment in 2021 has been successfully treating patients with cutting edge minimally invasive surgical procedures and continuing to learn while doing so. Recent technological advances are not only changing how surgeons like myself perform surgery, but are changing the lives of our patients as well. The benefits of minimally invasive procedures have helped many patients get out of pain and return to their active lifestyles with quicker weight bearing function and less complications. This has afforded me the opportunity to provide the absolute best care for my patients.
