CEO swaps orthopedic practice for multispecialty leadership role

John Kinna has left his post as CEO of the Orthopedic Clinic Association in Phoenix to lead North Bend Medical Center in Coos Bay, Ore., effective Jan. 10.

As CEO, Mr. Kinna will be responsible for business management, operations, organizational vision and growth for the multispecialty group's 100 providers and five locations, according to a Jan. 25 news release.

He has more than 28 years of experience as a healthcare executive, including in leadership roles at private practices and large integrated groups. Previously, he served as CEO of Phoenix-based OrthoArizona and Barrow Brain and Spine and as executive director for St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Mont.

"I am humbled and honored to have been selected to carry forward the strategic and visionary growth of NBMC," Mr. Kinna said in the news release. "This large and comprehensive multispecialty group represents the future of physician-led, professionally managed healthcare as we partner with systems and payers to reduce the cost of care and provide the very best in quality outcomes for the patients who seek our care."
